Setup Gmail Automation – One Stop Solution
Get the tool from – Link
After getting tool access go to File > Make a copy
Rename the copy and then click on “Make a copy”
New Google Sheet will open and this will be your copy of the tool
Now let’s authenticate the tool. In this process we have to give access of your Gmail to the tool
To authenticate, go to the tab “Fetch All Emails” and click on the “Fetch Emails” button at the top
A prompt will appear with “Authorization Required” dialog box, click “OK”
Click on the email address you want to use for the authorization
Click on “Advanced” as shown below
Scroll and click on “Go to Gmail Automation – One Stop Solution (unsafe)”
As a final step of authorization, scroll and click on “Allow”
Dialog box will disappear and now your copy of the tool is ready
How to use Gmail Email Extractor
Open your copy of the tool
Go to tab – “Extract Data – Emails“
Provide Below Details Before Running the Tool
In cell B3 and B4, select the duration (start date and end date) for which you want to extract data for
Now, in cell B5, enter the label name, where your emails are stored. You can use “Inbox” or any custom label, like the one we’re using in this blog – “Testing”
Also, in case you want to filter out emails in the label by some identification text in the Subject line then you can add it in cell B6
Now, click on “Fetch Emails” button to fetch all the emails as per above provided criteria
Columns from A to E will be populated with “Email Address“, “Subject“, “Body“, Date Stamp” and “Message ID” (It is a unique identification id for each email used to prevent duplicate emails)
Before extracting data let’s check our email format –
Now, we want to extract data against the text “Quantity” which is 300 in the above example
Set Extraction Setting
Let’s set the extraction setting as below
Script will read it as Fetch “Data After Text” – Quantity: and data will get populated in the below cells as shown
Click on “Fetch Emails” and your tool will start populating the data
